Document processing
Document conversion occurs locally in the browser. Document contents are not uploaded to UnpackMD for conversion. Generated Markdown and extracted assets remain local during conversion.
Privacy by architecture
UnpackMD V1 does not need a document-processing backend. Ordinary conversions happen in your browser.
How it works
Analytics
UnpackMD uses Google Analytics for basic product and website usage measurement. Analytics events are designed not to include document contents, Markdown, filenames or extracted assets.
Clarity
Microsoft Clarity is temporarily disabled. It is not loaded on public pages or inside the document workspace.
No account or cloud storage
There is no login, user database or remote project storage in this version.
Clear means clear
Clearing a project removes file and asset references from application state. Temporary download URLs are revoked after use.
Scanned PDFs
Scanned pages are reported as needing OCR. The product does not silently send them to a hosted parser.
